THE WORLD’S END + Beer Tasting
Saturday, November 18 @ 9:15 pm
Presented by Brooklyn Brewery
“Tonight, we will be partaking of a liquid repast as we wind our way up the Golden Mile. Commencing with an inaugural tankard in The First Post, then on to The Old Familiar, The Famous Cock, The Cross Hands, The Good Companions, The Trusty Servant, The Two-Headed Dog, The Mermaid, The Beehive, The King’s Head, and The Hole in the Wall for a measure of the same, all before the last bittersweet pint in that most fateful terminus, The World’s End. Leave a light on good lady, for though we may return with a twinkle in our eyes, we will be in truth blind – drunk!” – Gary King, The World’s End
Gary King (Simon Pegg) is an immature 40-year-old who’s dying to take another stab at an epic pub-crawl that he last attempted 20 years earlier. He drags his reluctant buddies back to their hometown and sets out for a night of heavy drinking. As they make their way toward their ultimate destination — the fabled World’s End pub — Gary and his friends attempt to reconcile the past and present. However, the real struggle is for the future when their journey turns into a battle for mankind.
With the assistance of BROOKLYN BREWERY, we will be accompanying Gary, Andy, and all the rest on their “liquid repast.” Of course, in the interest of not killing you, rather than asking you to drink twelve pints in two hours or match the characters drink-for-drink, we’ll be offering a more modest but also far more decadent experience: beer tasting! Your ticket will include a tasting of 12 Brooklyn Brewery beers, each to be served along with each pub the gang visits, ensuring you a good time but also leaving you sober enough to fight off any robots that might try to infiltrate the bar. Let’s boo-boo!
