“The picture allegedly contains ideas, but they’re really just disembodied, brainless organisms.” –Stephanie Zacharek, Salon

“This zombie-chick-horror sature is more dead-eyed than Blake Lively.” Joe Neumaier, NY Daily Post

“If you’re in search for a way to ogle Megan Fox’s body, there are a lot better ways to do it than subjecting yourself to this.” James Berardenlli, Reel Reviews

“But even auds primed to see guts and other exposed body parts will be disappointed by a “Body”less bawdy than advertised.” Justin Chang, Variety

“We weren’t ready for Jennifer’s Body in 2009.” Shay, Independent Women curator & host.

When small town high-school student Jennifer (Megan Fox) is possessed by a hungry demon, she transitions from being “high school evil”–gorgeous (and doesn’t she know it,) stuck up, and ulta-attitudinal–to the real deel: evil/evil. The glittering beauty becomes a pale and sickly creature jonesing for a meaty snack, and guys who never stood a chance with the heartless babe, take on new luster in the light of Jennifer’s insatiable appetite. Meanwhile, Jennifer’s lifelong best friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried,) long relegated to living in Jennifer’s shadow, must step up to protect the town’s young men, including her nerdy boyfriend.

Dir. Karyn Kusama. 2009. 102 min.
